First the scratching. Then the hesitation at the stairs. Then the morning they just didn’t want to get up.
You put it down to age. Maybe allergies.
But it kept coming back.
Itchy skin and stiff joints often show up together, and both depend on what your pet gets from the inside. Most everyday diets fall short on the omega-3s skin needs and the building blocks joints need.
That’s why one product only goes so far. The answer is the right two, working together.
Omega-3 supports skin, coat and joint comfort. Joint Support helps maintain healthy cartilage with glucosamine, chondroitin and green-lipped mussel.
Softer, shinier coat
Calmer skin, less itching
Easier movement and comfier joints
A more comfortable, playful pet
Why It Works
Omega-3 is something the body relies on but can't make on its own - it has to come from diet or a daily supplement.
Once absorbed, it becomes a building block for cell membranes throughout the body - skin, joints, heart, immune cells. Cells are constantly rebuilding, using whatever fatty acids are available. The more Omega-3 on hand, the more gets built in.
That's where the impact comes in: cells built with more Omega-3 produce fewer inflammatory compounds and more calming ones. The dry, flaky skin, the stiff joints after a nap, the immune system working overtime - it traces back to what's built into the cells. Give it a few weeks to build up, and that's when the shift starts showing everywhere it's needed.
Scratching more than usual. Skin that looks dry no matter what shampoo you use. These are common signs skin cells aren't getting an essential building block they depend on - Omega-3. Most everyday diets fall short on it, and without enough, skin cells can't stay balanced or hold moisture the way they should. Add it in daily, and within a few weeks, cells rebuild with the Omega-3 they were missing - softer skin, real shine back.
Stiffness after a nap or hesitating before a jump isn't just 'getting older' - it's inflammation happening at the cellular level in and around the joint. Omega-3 gets built into those cells too, shifting them toward producing fewer inflammatory compounds. Over a few weeks, that adds up to easier, more comfortable movement.
Heart and immune function work quietly in the background - you don't notice them until something's off. Both rely on cells that need Omega-3 as a building block, and cells with more of it run a calmer, steadier baseline. Consistent daily intake keeps that foundation solid, supporting long-term function rather than reacting after the fact.
Why It Works
Stiff joints usually aren't about age - they're about cartilage rebuilding slower than it wears down. As dogs age or stay active, that rebuilding process can start falling behind, leaving joints with less cushioning to work with.
Joint Support supplies what that process needs to keep up, while easing the inflammation that comes with everyday wear on the joint. Used daily, it supports the joint's own repair cycle rather than working around it - and over a few weeks, that support builds into smoother, more comfortable movement.
A joint with less cushioning is a joint whose cartilage can't rebuild fast enough. Supplying glucosamine, chondroitin, and collagen type II gives cartilage cells the raw materials to close that gap, day after day.
Slower to get up, stiffer on walks - it's often friction from a joint that isn't cushioned the way it used to be. Give cartilage the materials to rebuild, and that cushioning - and the ease of movement that comes with it - starts coming back.
Discomfort around a worn joint often comes down to ongoing inflammation. MSM, green lipped mussel extract, and flaxseed support the body's natural inflammatory response, helping calm that irritation so movement feels easier day to day.

“As pets get older, the cartilage that cushions their joints slowly wears down, and their bodies can’t rebuild it as fast as it’s lost. That’s when you start to notice the stiffness, the slower walks, the hesitation before jumping onto the couch. That’s why I put the Omega-3 and Joint Support together
. The Joint Support gives the joints the building blocks they need to help maintain healthy cartilage, and the Omega-3 helps support a healthy inflammatory response, so the two work really well as a team.
As with any supplement, consistency matters most. I always tell pet parents to give both daily and allow around 6 to 8 weeks to see the full benefits. That’s how long it takes for the nutrients to build up and start working.”

Each product works well on its own, but they were made to be used together. The Omega-3 gives your pet EPA and DHA, which support healthy skin, a shiny coat and comfortable joints. The Joint Support gives the joints the building blocks they need to help maintain healthy cartilage. Used together, you're covering joint comfort and skin and coat in one daily routine.
Most pet parents notice less scratching in the first couple of weeks, and a shinier coat by weeks 3 to 4. Joint changes take a bit longer, because the nutrients need time to build up. You'll usually see easier movement around weeks 4 to 6, and older or stiffer pets can take up to 8 weeks. Giving it every day is what matters most.
Both products are vet-formulated by Dr. Amir Anwary and registered under Act 36. Some pets have a slightly upset tummy for the first few days. That's why we suggest starting on half a dose for 3 to 5 days, then moving up to the full dose. If your pet has a medical condition, is on medication, or is pregnant or nursing, check with your vet first.
Most pets don't even notice it. The Joint Support is a fine powder that mixes easily into wet or dry food, and the Omega-3 oil soaks right into kibble. If your pet is very fussy, start with a smaller amount, or mix it into wet food or a favourite treat.
Many standard fish oils contain around 10 to 15% omega-3. Ours contains 35%, in the natural triglyceride form that pets absorb best, and it's kept fresh with vitamin E and rosemary extract. The Joint Support also contains green-lipped mussel, which has its own omega-3s, so your pet gets joint support that a regular fish oil can't give on its own.
The bundle covers joints, skin and coat in one routine, so you don't need separate supplements for each. The Medium Dog pack lasts about 6 weeks, which works out to roughly R18 a day. And if you're not happy, our 30-day money-back guarantee has you covered.
The Omega-3 is safe for both dogs and cats. The Joint Support is for dogs only.
Yes. Both products were formulated by our veterinarian, Dr. Amir Anwary, and are registered under Act 36 (Omega-3: V36419, Joint Support: V36556).
For the Omega-3, give dogs one pump for every 8 kg of body weight, and cats half a pump. For the Joint Support:
Give both once a day with a meal.
Yes. Add both to the same meal. That's the easiest way to stick to it every day.
The Joint Support contains green-lipped mussel (a shellfish), and the Omega-3 is made from fish oil. If your pet has a known seafood or shellfish allergy, please speak to your vet before using either product.
No. The omega is okay to use, but the joint support does have chicken components.
Older dogs are who the bundle was made for, since joints naturally wear over time. Vets2Pets joint support for dogs is suitable for all pups over 18 months - 2 years old (Breed size dependant). The omega is suitable for all life stages.
It usually fits alongside a normal diet and routine. If your pet is on prescription medication, especially for pain or joints, or already takes another joint or fish oil product, check with your vet so you're not doubling up.
